Installation¶
Requirements¶
Unreal Engine 5.5-5.8
Dependent plugins: MovaCore, EnhancedInput, Niagara, MetaSound, OnlineSubsystem
The runtime module uses JsonUtilities (for presets)
Adding the plugin to a project¶
Copy the
MovaInteractfolder into your project'sPlugins/directory (or install it from the Fab marketplace listing, which places it there for you).Open the project. Unreal will prompt to rebuild modules if this is a C++ project: accept it.
In the editor, go to Edit → Plugins and confirm Mova Interact is enabled under the Mova category.
Restart the editor if prompted.
Enabling for a Blueprint-only project¶
No C++ project is required. All plugin functionality: adding the component, setting up interactions, wiring the Interactor, presets, save/load, is available from Blueprint and the editor UI alone.
Verifying the install¶
Confirm Mova Interact appears under Edit → Plugins → Mova and is enabled. Then build Recipe 1 in Quick Start (a door that opens on the first press and closes on the next), which exercises the Control Panel, the tag grammar, and playback end to end in about 60 seconds. See Debug overlay & troubleshooting if the plugin does not appear or an interaction does nothing.
Next step¶
Quick Start: three worked recipes that build a door, a proximity lamp, and a gated drawer in a few minutes each.
